Jane Callister Biography

Jane Callister was born on the Isle of Man in 1963. She received her Master of Fine Arts at the University of Las Vegas in Nevada in 1994. Mixing romantic landscape with abstraction, her paintings and mixed media projects have been exhibited throughout the United States and Europe. Callister's deliciously retinal paintings often mimic food-related surfaces such as cake frosting or whipped cream: electric orange, candy pink, peppermint green. Her first solo show at MBG opened in September 2006.
