Read Red, suite of 5, 2000

I've always had a hard time reading. My mind
wanders. I rarely calm down enough to get absorbed
in a book. I know this is about betrayal. If I read, I'm
being anti-social, neglecting my family; I'm acting
selfish. So I make reading an unavoidable part of my
work. For a print I'm working on, I find a painting
by John Singer Sargent in an art museum in
Pennsylvania, in a town called Reading (red'ing).
