The Michael Berger Gallery Mission
Michael Berger Gallery is a not-for-profit enterprise
underwritten by the Michael and Sherle Berger Foundation. The
Foundation’s educational mission is intended to increase
public awareness of this generation’s cultural heritage in
the visual arts.
The Foundation serves the community by enabling our Gallery to
exhibit original works of art by internationally prominent and
emerging artists and to sell them at prices affordable to the
average art collector.
The Foundation, through our Gallery, encourages families to
enrich their lives and minds with the possession of fine works
of art. Fine art in a family home is a spiritual and idealistic
counter to the mindless violence and tasteless entertainment
dominating today’s visual environment. It encourages an
open mind and teaches the rewards of beauty as well as the
respect artistic expression.
It is also our hope that these works of fine art will find their
way eventually into the public domain—a museum, a school,
a religious institution, etc. Therefore, to encourage enrichment
of the cultural environment by personal donations of works of
art to public institutions, we will offer buyers a modest refund
of the purchase price, following acceptance of the gift by the
designated institution.
